Hosanna to the Humble King
Main Idea: God’s promised king comes according to God’s purposes, not man’s.
1. The promised King is God: He demonstrates divine knowledge and authority, not merely delegated prophetic power.
2. The promised King is humble: He enters Jerusalem on a donkey, not a warhorse.
3. the promised King is saving: He comes as David’s Son to save His people from their sins, not merely from their earthly enemies.
