Main Idea:  Jesus our King is both patient and just (and he calls us to patience) while faith and rebellion grow up side-by-side in the world.

1. Jesus rules the world and plants his faithful people in it (only he can give life). (24 & 37–38a)

2. The enemy is at work in the world planting rebellion (faith and rebellion will coexist until the end). (25–29 & 38b–39)

3. Jesus rules the ultimate destiny of all (there are only two). (30& 40–43)
