The Scandalous Generosity of God
Aug 30, 2026 • Aaron Russo
Main Idea: Rewards for fruitful service in God’s kingdom are a gift of his sovereign grace.
I. All are equally helpless until God mercifully seeks and saves them.
II. All who answer his call receive full rewards, not on merit but on mercy.
III. All rewards glorify the Giver, not the recipient.
Suggested Psalm: 115
Questions to consider:
· How does thinking of our Christian service itself as a gift of grace change the way we think about our sacrifices and accomplishments?
· If every reward ultimately results in praise for the Giver rather than glory for the recipient, how should that affect the way we think about our own faithfulness?
· What would a greater delight in God's goodness toward others look like in my life this week?
